Asia Business Builders (ABB) has successfully closed its second private equity fund, Asia Business Builders II LP, with $70 million in capital commitments. While the close was below the initial $100 million target, it highlights strong investor confidence, attracting new limited partners such as the Dutch development bank FMO, Pavilion Capital, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Australian Development Investments, and various family offices. The firm’s first fund closed in 2018 with $20 million, has been fully invested and achieved notable exits, including DTP Education Solutions (acquired by Japan's Gakken Holdings) and Trung Son Pharma (acquired by South Korea’s Dongwha Pharmaceutical). ABB II is set to invest in 8–10 additional companies, with recent investments in Kyna English and Duoc Vuong Group (King Pharma).

Complementing its private equity focus, ABB also operates a robust advisory business. Since forming its merchant banking team in 2013, ABB has facilitated over $500 million in investment and advisory transactions, including more than $200 million in strategic M&A deals.
