Central Vietnam's Da Nang city plans to leap into the high-tech arena with a new research center dedicated to semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). This ambitious project aims to nurture talent, attract investment, and position Da Nang as a key player in Vietnam's growing tech landscape.
Legal procedures for the project are currently proceeding.
The center will train personnel and assist with attracting investment to promote research and startup businesses in the field of semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
For the 2024-2025 period, the center aims to complete all legal frameworks regarding its structure and organization, as well all processes and procedures regarding proposing drafts on development policy mechanisms, international cooperation and support for businesses in the field.
By 2030, Vietnam plans to have around 50,000 chip engineers, 200,000 semiconductor engineers and 500,000 workers in the semiconductor industry.
