Startup Description
Anfin, established in June 2021, emerges as a trailblazer in Vietnam's financial services sector. Their mission is to democratize access to financial markets for retail investors within the country. Anfin's innovative platform empowers Vietnamese citizens to participate in a broader range of financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, and structured investment products. This emphasis on inclusivity fosters a more vibrant and accessible investment landscape.
October 2021 marked a significant milestone for Anfin with the launch of its stock trading platform. This platform introduces a revolutionary feature to the Vietnamese market: real-time fractional share trading. This pioneering approach stands in stark contrast to the traditional minimum lot size requirements often encountered on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE). While the HoSE is undertaking efforts to reduce these minimum lot sizes, the initial investment required can still pose a barrier for new investors. Anfin's fractional share trading eliminates this obstacle, allowing users to participate in the stock market with a significantly lower capital outlay, thereby mitigating risk and encouraging broader participation. This innovative approach not only simplifies the investment process but also serves an educational purpose, enabling new investors to gain experience and build confidence before committing larger sums. By democratizing access to financial markets and fostering financial literacy, Anfin positions itself as a key player in Vietnam's evolving investment landscape.
In October 2021, Anfin raised a $510,000 investment from GFC, First Check Ventures, and R2 Venture Partners.
In November 2021, the firm raised another $125,000 from Y-Combinator.
In January 2022, Anfin raised. $1.2 million in a seed round led by Goodwater Capital and Global Founders Capital (GFC), XA Network as well as First Check Ventures.
In June 2022, Anfin secured $4.8 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Y Combinator and angel investor Clement Benoit. Other investors in the round included Rebel VC, Kharis Capital, Newman Capital, First Check Ventures, Micro Ventures, Springcamp, and AngelHub.
