Phenikaa MaaS was named as BusMap, began as a small start-up firm with a group of young, passionate individuals who were always eager to give back to the community. BusMap has earned scores of accolades at home and abroad as a result of their research and development activities, recognizing their efforts to contribute to their community. One of BusMap's most notable accomplishments is winning the category "Smart City” under the ITU Digital World Awards hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). This is a renowned prize that recognizes exceptional technological solutions and achievements.

From the rejection for an ideal job at Google to the handshake with Phenikaa Group’s representative, from Vietnam's leading public transit app named BusMap to diverse smart transportation solutions for multiple types of audiences, Phenikaa MaaS is developing day by day with the dream of "dedicating to the nation". Through the application of maps, applications, AI and standard-compliant IoT products, Phenikaa MaaS helps companies manage traffic operations and elevate their position in the midst of a competitive Industry 4.0.

In 2021, BusMap received 1.5 million USD investment from Phenikaa Group and Officially renamed to Phenikaa MaaS. And In September 2022, Phenikaa MaaS and VinBus signed an cooperation agreement to deploy solutions for Vinbus’s smart electric bus management system, through the VinBus App.
